My Darling Little “Doll”
Well dearest, We have just now returned, or that is “got in”, from having a real good time. This is our last night together, But I’ll wager that we will never forget it. – Remember “Vernan and Ian, Ernest Lee and Jane” – Margaret and Cecil and Rose and Orvall.
Little Wad, you know yourself that this whole book couldn’t begin to hold everything that we have done. But anyway, you remember, just these few important events in our Cottey days: “Writing Letters” – Useless to explain fuller. “John and Braugh” – Our dates with them. “Going to M and M and seeing Russell and Agatha and Rose scaring us. Remember our town days: Our terrible chats with Mother Huff, teasing dates, sleeping on firescape. And a thousand other things.
Honey-Dear, I leave my best pal on earth in the morning. I shall never forget you. I’ll see you this Summer ‘cause you’re comin’ down and I’m comin’ up.
Remember everything that we have done and everything and remember I love my “Little Wad” better than anyone.
Yours for ever and Aye
